Furetank has secured large-scale access to biogas and from 2025, will be able to operate its entire EU-based fleet fossil-free. Today, the majority run on biogas, and Fure Valö demonstrated completely fossil-free operation at the Donsö Shipping Meet with HVO100 bunkered in the Port of Gothenburg. The Port of Gothenburg has signed a contract with Wallenius Wilhelmsen to operate the port's car terminal. The agreement enables Wallenius Wilhelmsen to ramp up preparations for taking over the terminal, starting February 2, 2026.
