The Board of the Port of Gothenburg decided today to submit a proposal for a new operating structure to the owner, the City of Gothenburg. The proposal will be submitted to the City Council for a final decision.
The Port of Gothenburg is expanding its range of rail shuttles by once again offering a shuttle service to Drammen in Norway. The first departure will be at the beginning of November and is part of a joint venture with Green Cargo and H. Strøm/Rail Terminal Drammen.
Intresset för Göteborg som kryssningsdestination ökar stadigt. Nu har även de riktigt stora kryssningsrederierna fått upp ögonen för staden. Nästa år kommer Royal Caribbean, världens näst största kryssningsrederi, till Göteborg för första gången.
The Port of Gothenburg, the largest port in the Nordic region, is a reflection of Swedish industry. Whilst the first half of 2008 showed an increase for a number of goods categories, volumes fell during the second half of the year. Despite the downturn, new volume records were set for containers, oil and rail.
